Lura Consulting is celebrating an exciting milestone – we are now starting our 1000th project!
We have enjoyed working with many communities, municipalities, institutions, associations, organizations and countless individuals across Canada, the United States and beyond over the past 35 plus years. We have been privileged to help our clients, their stakeholders and communities develop community-based plans, sustainability strategies, strategic plans, policies, projects and master plans – whether through our engagement or collaborative planning services. We have also been fortunate to be at the forefront of applying behaviour change and community-based social marketing strategies for diverse issues such as phosphorus reduction, invasive species, well water protection, vehicle idling and energy and water efficiency.
Back in the late ‘70s, our founder Sally Leppard started Lura with a simple, yet powerful premise – people should be involved in plans, projects and decisions that affect them and their communities. Now, more than three decades later, we are thrilled to mark our 1000th project – with a degree of satisfaction that engagement and collaboration have become mainstays of successful project delivery across Canada.
We have learned so much from our projects and clients, collaborating partners, community leaders and the many talented individuals we have encountered over the years and are very, very grateful for this. Thanks also to the many talented consultants who have carried the Lura banner.
Here’s to you all – and to working together on our next 1000 projects.
