Job Opening – Project Manager (Toronto Office)

The Position:

LURA Consulting is a leading Canadian firm specializing in collaborative planning, community and stakeholder engagement and strategic planning. We have an immediate opening for a Project Manager to manage high profile community engagement and strategic planning projects, working closely with LURA’s partners and our in-house community engagement team. The position will be based in LURA’s Toronto office. This role will consist primarily of project management, delivery and client liaison related tasks, as well as active participation in business development.

Qualifications and Expectations:

The successful candidate will have:

  • 5-7 years of experience in managing and delivering projects in the areas of community engagement, stakeholder relations, facilitation, strategic communications, community and strategic planning, preferably in a consulting setting

  • Previous experience in business development and demonstrated proposal writing capabilities

  • Successful track record of managing project budgets and staying within project budgets while delivering successful projects

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills; ability to provide strategic communications direction for community engagement and strategic planning projects

  • A proven track record in multi-tasking and working independently or within a team to meet deadlines

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to act professionally in an office environment and interacting with the public (e.g. at community meetings and events)

  • Degree in planning, communications, public relations, environment/sustainability studies or related field (Masters considered an asset)

  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Driver’s license and access to vehicle

  • Bi-lingual (English and French) considered an asset


Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications
