Open Position: Community Engagement Specialist

Location: Toronto/ Hamilton, Ontario

Lura Consulting is looking to hire a full-time community
engagement specialist; this would be a great fit for someone
who wants to work with one of Canada's leading Environmental
consulting firms. The role would require that you have at
least 8 years of community engagement, facilitation and
project management experience. The role would involve but
would not be limited to the following: meeting facilitation,
public consultation, stakeholder liaison, report writing and
being able to manage projects and budgets effectively. We
place a high value on those who can work independently and
within a team. Please note that your passion, experience and
track record with community engagement will supersede your
educational achievements.

Qualifications and Expectations:

* Minimum 8 years experience in community engagement,
stakeholder relations and facilitation
* Strong project manager, who has over 8 years of managing
projects to ensure that they are on or under budget while
delivering a high quality of work and ensuring that they
help Lura to meet client expectations
* The flexibility to work on evenings and weekends to attend
meetings and or work to deliver projects under tight deadlines
* A well networked individual who has the ability to grow
and nurture relationships
* Track record of business development experience and success
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Proficient with MS office suite (excel, word, access and
PowerPoint)
* Drivers' license and access to vehicle
* Bilingual is preferred but not essential
* Ability to work on projects around the Golden horseshoe
and work from the Hamilton or Toronto office

Compensation:

Remuneration will commensurate with experience, but please
